THE ORIGIN OF BANHEES

Historians have followed the first stories of the Banshees that were based on a tradition which women sang a sorrowful song to lament someone’s death. These women were known as keeners. Since they accepted alcohol as payment, they were called sinners and punished by being doomed to become Banshee.
